The IOTA I420 Emergency Ballast is a compact, UL Listed solution designed to provide reliable emergency illumination for one or two 4-pin compact fluorescent lamps during power outages. Delivering up to 1100 lumens total for 90 minutes, the I420 is ideal for damp locations, plenum, enclosed, or gasketed fixtures. Its compact galvanized steel housing and dual flex mounting design make it easy to install in tight spaces while providing long-term durability and safety, making it suitable for commercial, institutional, and industrial lighting applications.
Engineered for compatibility with modern lamp technologies, the I420 features AC output to support low-mercury amalgam lamps and lamp selector leads to optimize output based on lamp type. Built-in protection includes open-circuit isolation and time delay circuitry compatible with end-of-lamp-life systems. Additional features such as a test switch, LED charge indicator, and a long-life Ni-Cad battery with 24-hour recharge ensure reliable, energy-efficient operation. This ballast meets NEC, IBC, NFPA 101 Life Safety Codes, and is RoHS compliant, making it a code-compliant emergency lighting solution.
