The IOTA I42 Emergency Ballast is a UL Listed solution designed to provide reliable emergency lighting for one or two 4-pin compact fluorescent lamps. Delivering up to 650 lumens for 90 minutes of emergency illumination, the I42 is ideal for damp locations, plenum-rated, and enclosed fixtures. Its compact galvanized steel housing allows installation in tight spaces while maintaining durability and long-term reliability, making it an excellent choice for commercial, institutional, and industrial lighting applications that require dependable backup power.
Engineered for compatibility and performance, the I42 features AC output to support low-mercury amalgam lamps, ensuring safe operation with newer CFL technologies. Built-in protection features, including open-circuit isolation and a time-delay circuit, protect both the ballast and connected lamps. With a dual-voltage input (120/277VAC, 60Hz), test switch, and LED charge indicator, the I42 is easy to install, maintain, and monitor, providing code-compliant emergency lighting that meets NEC, IBC, NFPA 101, UL, and CUL standards.
